Summer Reading 2016
Gordon Russell MS students are strongly encouraged to participate in the Multnomah County Reading program.
You received a game board from your teacher or you can pick one up at the public library. Track your time reading. Stop in at your local library to receive prizes throughout the summer. There are a lot of choices like free food coupons, toys, and books. Also there is a grand prize drawing for those who finish the program. Dates: June 17 Aug. 31

If you participate in the Multnomah County library program, bring your game board into the school library during the first week and school and receive a school PRIDE prize.
Why do we even have to read during the summer?

Reason 1: Kids who don't read during summer lose skills.

Reason 2: When everyone does something together, it creates community.

Reason 3: Reading is fun and a life-long skill.
